Fully resetable for pc and followers through note in book menu. Only event triggered scripting (no polling scripts!).
Support for 1 to 10 followers through dialogue menu. Works with any skeleton and any armor (no additional slot required). Auto-unequipping/equipping routine without delay or double draw or sword draw loop effect. Torch equipping/unequipping support - no change of the game mechanism for shields. Optional register of weapon/shield combination, so when a registered weapon is drawn the registered shield will be equipped as well. I’m also listing shields that are at least somewhat lore-friendly, so you won’t find any Game of Thrones shields on my list. Keep in mind that not all of these mods add shields to the game – some modify the way shields work! Some of them are quite unique and innovative compared to the original base game shield options. Even though these amazing mods weren’t enough to convince me to start carrying a shield regularly, I did have quite a good time using most of these. However I’ve decided to try out a couple of shield mods to see what the fuss is all about.
But to me, the best defense is a powerful offense. Yes, I know some of you might call me crazy. Most of the characters that I’ve created in all these years playing Skyrim are focused on core DPS while almost completely ignoring my defending stats. Let me be completely honest with you – I’m not much of a fan of wielding a shield.
